cooka Posted November 20, 2013 Posted November 20, 2013 Hi guys, I would like the staff at my work to be able to access a certain server share from home over the web. I have spoken to a couple other people who advised a SSL VPN, I'm a little unsure about the whole procedure and how to implement this. Any help would be great! Thanks Cooka
xenonive Posted November 20, 2013 Posted November 20, 2013 I'd second HAP as student and teachers use it without a problem 1
cooka Posted November 21, 2013 Author Posted November 21, 2013 Thanks guys, whats HAP? I tried google'in it, but cant seem to find what your on about. Sorry for being a noob... Thanks again
sted Posted November 21, 2013 Posted November 21, 2013 home access plus best bet is on here. another option is direct access but ive yet to get this to work (suspect due to using ip's rather than domains) 1
mdench Posted November 21, 2013 Posted November 21, 2013 https://hap.codeplex.com/ for support look here Home Access Plus+ nickbro is the guy who makes it and can help you out if you get stuck 1
cpjitservices Posted November 21, 2013 Posted November 21, 2013 We have a VPN straight into the network and then just use RDP or VNC into servers, or if VPN isnt working we use Team Viewer.
gmonks Posted November 22, 2013 Posted November 22, 2013 Logmein Hamachi is also another good free tool. Or Remote Desktop Web Services.
cpjitservices Posted November 22, 2013 Posted November 22, 2013 We use pfSense for our VPN into the network, using OpenVPN
nickbro Posted November 22, 2013 Posted November 22, 2013 We use 3 bits, HAP+ (since I make it it would be silly not to), NPS for the SSTP VPN, and RDP (RDP Gateway). All using HTTPS, so only 1 port has to be open.
