andrew_91090 Posted November 13, 2013 Posted November 13, 2013 Hi Guys and Girls, I'm looking to get a new printer at work and I have been told it needs 2 trays, quick as possible and holds a lot of paper So I've done some research and have seen these 2 printers:- Lexmark MS810dn - Comes with 10k pages worth of toner and has 2 trays Price of unit: £470 6,000 page toner: £94 25,000 page toner: £245 Print speed: 52 pages per minute OKI B431dn - Comes with 3 year warrenty but only has 1 tray (so we'd need 2) Price of unit: £193 12,000 page toner: £108 Print speed: 38 pages per minute Has anyone had any experience with these printers? or can suggest better printers for the job? Thanks,
Steve21 Posted November 13, 2013 Posted November 13, 2013 Any particular reason you pick those? Does it need to be colour etc? Most of the Dells/HPs have option for additional paper tray, and that seems very expensive for the lexmark etc. But depends how much you're printing? Steve 1

Steve I do not require colour, I did look at a few Dells and HP's, but the toners are quite expensive, whereas the Lexmark does less than 1p per sheet and we would be printing about 1,000/2,000 pages a month

We have joined a consortium and one of the suppliers on the consortium consistently offers the cheapest prices for original toner. In the year that we have used them they have not been beaten on price. We just bought a couple of HP 3015DN printers. Might be worth considering. 1
andrew_91090 Posted November 13, 2013 Author Posted November 13, 2013 I'm currently price checking on Laser Printers and Toner Cartridges with Next Day Delivery I have also rang up and they have offered further discounts and warranty etc... If anyone can also suggest cheaper suppliers, that would also be fantastic I do not work in a School anymore so I won't be able to purchase from educational suppliers anymore
