speckytecky Posted November 11, 2013 Posted November 11, 2013 How come the Mac Book Air I'm currently setting up persists in picking up a time that's definitely the. sext part of 20 minutes on from the real time. Therefore, it won't play properly with the Windows domain through the mini Mac Server we run? Probably glaringly obvious but I can't see it for the life of me!

3s-gtech Posted November 11, 2013 Posted November 11, 2013 time.apple.com (the default) is set to Apple Aspirational Time (AAT), which is set to where they think they are - ahead of everyone else. The solution has always been to set the time server as your network NTP server. I'm only half joking - my Macs never work with the default time server set. 1
