ICT Mobile Technician (Midlands Region)

SP 18 – 22 (£17,333 - £19,817) perannum + Expenses + Final Salary Pension

 

An opportunity has arisen for an ICT Mobile Technician to cover the Midlands Region with Oasis Community Learning, one of the largest Academy sponsors in the UK. This newly created role will ensure the smooth running of ICT systems over several sites to facilitate teaching, learning, administration and Leadership.

 

The successful candidate will need to have a keen approach to customer service and have the ability to identify incidents and set key priorities. You will be liaising with the national Service Desk team, the Regional Service Delivery Manager and external providers/manufactures to facilitate in the resolution of service requests.

 

This role demands strong knowledge of Windows 7 and Basic Windows Server 2008 administration, and experience of Microsoft Deployment Services, internet filtering and safeguarding technologies is advantageous.

 

As the successful candidate will berequired to travel between local academy sites in the Birmingham area providing support and advice, it is essential that you own your own car and hold a valid, full, clean UK/EU driving licence.

Hi all,

 

I am the Service Delivery Manager for Oasis Community Learning's Birmingham Academies and will be the person the successful applicant will report to.

 

Oasis are a fantastic organisation to work for and we have a fantastic team of IT Professionals across the UK and a local team of 2 Technicians currently working across several Primary Academies in the area. The successful applicant will join this team and provide support for 2 - 3 Primary Academies acting as first line support but regularly getting involved in your typical second line duties.

Are these jobs in primary school?

Hi Bhavesh,

 

Oasis Community Learning supports a variety of schools all across England though those we support in the Birmingham/Midlands region currently consist of Primary Schools only. There are no immediate plans for a Secondary School to come on board in the area though that could change in the future.

 

The team the successful applicant will be a part of currently support 8 Academies; 7 of which are located in Birmingham and the other in Worcester. All mileage between said sites is covered under our Expenses Policy depending on the size of your car's engine.
