Interested to see what you find to do this. At the moment I'm using ISA2006 purely for this task (used to be our main firewall, but now i use it purely for publishing sites) I've heard sophos have a system for doing this which i think only came out this year or last year but like you ideally i want to avoid 3rd party aka paying for something else.

Seems very fussy of me but more than anything i want to get rid of that last windows 2003 server I've got hence the desire to replace the ISA :p

Hi,

So I want to be able to route multiple external domains (ie http://video.website.com and http://mail.website.com) to different servers internally. Will Microsoft Forefront UAG fit the bill for this, I want to try and avoid 3rd party or open source if possible.

Any ideas or a rough guide if somebody has managed this.

Thanks in advance.

Make sure you have a wildcard DNS entry pointing to the single domain (website.com) then use URL host headers to serve the different pages. IIS will handle this for you.

Configure a Host Header for a Web Site (IIS 7)

Technically not what it is designed to do but if you could use the lower end KEMP loadbalancers to do this - I say lower end because you won't need the SSL offloading etc.

Plus it's really easy to setup - 10/20 mins once you have the jist of it.
