ChrisH Posted October 13, 2013 Posted October 13, 2013 Okay folks I'm looking for suggestions for some games to play on my Nexus 7 while I'm travelling. They must work without internet access and I don't mind paying for good ones. Cheers ChrisH

ChrisH Posted October 13, 2013 Author Posted October 13, 2013 I'd go for pretty much anything that will keep me amused for more than 5 minutes.
caffrey Posted October 13, 2013 Posted October 13, 2013 I'm quite enjoying pixel dungeon, that's if you like rogue types.
Dos_Box Posted October 13, 2013 Posted October 13, 2013 Burn The City is a good way to pass an hour or so. Can get very frustrating later on though. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.JoshOClock.BurnTheCity&hl=en
kmount Posted October 13, 2013 Posted October 13, 2013 Broken Sword is normally a good one for this, attracts those who need something more entertaining than a couple of minutes.
Sunnyknight Posted October 13, 2013 Posted October 13, 2013 Hill climb racing Zombie GS Minion Rush Flick shoot Real Basketball Temple run 2 Megapolis Archery Stickman Downhill
ChrisH Posted October 14, 2013 Author Posted October 14, 2013 Thanks for all the suggestions, I would thank but you can't in this forum.
Rawns Posted October 14, 2013 Posted October 14, 2013 (edited) Terraria! You'll loose HOURS to this!!! Broken Sword is normally a good one for this, attracts those who need something more entertaining than a couple of minutes. +1 for the Broken Sword series. Easily a few hours gameplay in each, and it really holds your attention! Edited October 14, 2013 by Rawns
Garacesh Posted October 15, 2013 Posted October 15, 2013 (edited) I hated the interface that Terraria had on mobile.. It was just so clunky and difficult to use, which is a shame, 'cause I really like Terraria on PC and could imagine myself losing many an hour to it on mobile. There's a Professor Layton game about crime-solved that is free to test, but then the next sets of 'cases' cost money. Overall it cost no more than £4 (both packs combined, in fact I think it's even less) which I was perfectly happy to pay, and would say it's worth it. Kept me entertained for some considerable time. Plague Inc's a good one, too Edited October 15, 2013 by Garacesh

edutech4schools Posted October 15, 2013 Posted October 15, 2013 https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.FireproofStudios.TheRoom very good puzzle game.
DMcGuigan Posted October 15, 2013 Posted October 15, 2013 Just got Knights of Pen and Paper +1 edition, really enjoying it! It's not free, but has kept me amused for quite a few hours so far, made by paradox interactive too, famous for quite a few PC titles https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=br.com.beholdstudios.knightspp&hl=en I think they also have a mobile Magicka too, which was a laugh on PC, not sure how it'd play out on a tablet though.

X-13 Posted October 15, 2013 Posted October 15, 2013 Layton. GRRRRR. GRRRR! Hey now. Just because you can't solve the puzzles, that doesn't make it a bad game.
Sunnyknight Posted October 15, 2013 Posted October 15, 2013 Hey now. Just because you can't solve the puzzles, that doesn't make it a bad game. ITS STUPED. Makes no sense. Developers are bad

Developers are bad There were, admittedly, a few moments where I sat there and went "But, that makes sense.. You just only coded for one response and not two" but overall I can't say I found it 'bad'. .. though I was unsure about its legitimacy until I realised she was a Brummy and not just a victim of poor translation.

I figure it out pretty quick, but you can't just say "He's guilty because XYZ and here's the evidence that proves it." You have to jump through the specific hoops to get to that point [though, that make a new game REALLY hard. You know how it ends, but you can't remember the steps.]
