Chrome and GPO is a lot easier.

Chuckster Posted October 11, 2013 Posted October 11, 2013 It's advisable to search this on RM.com. I'm sure they have guides under their support section in deploying packages to workstations.
andyturpie Posted October 11, 2013 Posted October 11, 2013 If you visit the site look for the package blueprint - usually will contain step by step instructions on how to create the package. When you have a good working package which has been tested on one PC, usually, as long as you have sub folders on RMMC inheriting packages, deploying at the main site folder should go site wide.
blunty91 Posted October 11, 2013 Posted October 11, 2013 I'd use Google Chrome to be honest Seeing as you're new, Firefox might already been in the Software Packages RMMC > Packages & Products > All Packages - have a gander round for Firefox I tend to use Assignment Overview to install it
supawat1 Posted October 11, 2013 Posted October 11, 2013 Download Firefox MSI from this Download Firefox MSI and use your Application Wizard to do the rest
PeteSeddon Posted October 14, 2013 Posted October 14, 2013 Hi Kris, As a veteran of the RM scene, I can tell you that it is a little different on RM networks but once you get used to it you will find it a doddle. If you really must install Firefox, I would recommend FireFoxADM which is a version of firefox which runs from a folder, but is locked down. This is because the GPO's are extremely fiddly on an RM network to install the full blown version. I would download and configure the security, stick it in the P:\ drive and create a shortcut and put it in the shortcut bank. It will then run from the hidden P:\ network share. You will need to add the exe file or the folder to the Software restriction policies in the RMMC as well as the shortcut to the program set you would like. We have created one called "Web Browsers". Alternatively I can highly recommend the Chrome package which I think is available on RM's knowledgebase as a Blueprint. If you would like to speak to me about advice, just PM me and I will reply with my number and I can talk you through it.
