I have 1 user who is in need of extending her desktop across 2 monitors. The built in graphics do not allow that so I am looking for an add-in card that will do extended desktop. Problem is the SFF chassis is quite tight and the cards I have seen are too thick. They fit in the PCI-E slot but the fin then protrudes too far and hits the hard drive making it impossible to fit.

Anyone know which Cards will fit in an Optiplex 780 SFF? Dont want to spend more than £25.

These where in use in all 780's in my last place. These are pretty expensive from Dell but you can get them cheaper from other places. - accessories.us.dell.com/sna/productdetail.aspx?c=us&l=en&s=bsd&cs=04&sku=a2829975

On a side note, the latest Optiplex SSF machines can support upto 3 monitors without any cards.

The Sapphire HD6570 (bit too pricey) and most HD6350s come in a low profile, actively cooled model which has a dinky little cooler, this doesn't stick out above the card and the cooler is single slot.

I've had bad luck with Nvidia passive cards cooking themselves in SFF cases, not so with the actively cooled ones.
