tech_guy Posted October 9, 2013 Posted October 9, 2013 Play YouTube movie and it's muted. You unmute and everything's fine. Exit IE and the next time YouTube videos are muted again. Anyone else having this frustrating issue? Seeing it happen just lately and the teachers are getting uppity. The suggested fix of disabling hardware acceleration sometimes works. Can't find a definitive explanation of the cause.

X-13 Posted October 9, 2013 Posted October 9, 2013 I've had this as well on Chrome, Firefox AND IE. Google know about it and are looking into it [apparently]. Out of curiosity, is yours actually muted or just turned all the way down?

I use Win7 + Firefox[23] at home [so no proxy to cause problems] and youtube videos load with the sound turned all the way down [not muted] It's JUST youtube, though. Other flash players are fine. Le [pre-post] EDIT: OK... I think it may be fixed. Chrome Version 30.0.1599.69 m at work is working fine now. [Just tried it on ] It wasn't working yesterday.
