sted Posted October 3, 2013 Posted October 3, 2013 Maybe they weren't the tree kind, they should cause a nasty concussion or flashbacks
Rawns Posted October 3, 2013 Posted October 3, 2013 I've been searching for "MY BRUTAL ACORN HELL" on the tabloid newspaper sites and have been unable to track down any cases of acorn concussion. So far. Try the trashy women's gossip magazines like Bella and the like. They all have it all. Most are like paper based version of Jeremy Kyle...
CESIL Posted October 3, 2013 Author Posted October 3, 2013 Sorry to interupt your collective sniggering, but if the acorn was flung quite hard and hit the child on the temple rather than another bit of the head it could well cause concussion. I am afraid I don't believe an object with as little mass as an acorn would do that sort of damage even when thrown by even the biggest Year 6 we have here. Perhaps if it was fired from some sort weapon then it would cause an injury but then a penetrating wound would be more likely due to the small diameter of the acorn. Now if it hit someone in the eye then a hand launched acorn let alone a weaponized version would be much more dangerous... This is probably an investigation that Mythbusters should carry out
Jawloms Posted October 3, 2013 Posted October 3, 2013 This thread title made me lol briefly Glad it wasn't just me.....
happymeal Posted October 3, 2013 Posted October 3, 2013 Well, this is an example of small things causing damage! Wonder if the children still use slingshots?
CESIL Posted October 3, 2013 Author Posted October 3, 2013 Glad it wasn't just me..... Hey that level of double entendre doesn't come easily...
