jdoldridge Posted October 1, 2013 Posted October 1, 2013 Good afternoon all, I have been looking at this all morning and I have found no help on any MSFT KB articles or other sites or nothing on here. We have a few users using outlook 2010 that have the problem where outlook freezes for a good half an hour when they click the To button in an email to select from the address list who they want to send their email to. One one users PC I uninstalled outlook 2010 and installed 2013 installed all updates etc. Still no resolution to this annoying problem. We have tried starting outlook in Safe Mode... still no help, cleared out the unused groups/users in exchange... still no change. Has anybody found a fix for this issue or had it before? I have advised the user to use OWA for the time being but this is obviously not a permanent fix for this issue. Thanks Josh
LukeC Posted October 1, 2013 Posted October 1, 2013 Are they using Cached mode? Not saying this will work but could try turning on or off.
free780 Posted October 1, 2013 Posted October 1, 2013 Have you tried turning on outlook logging on? You could also try ms network monitor to see what s happening.
Boredguy Posted October 1, 2013 Posted October 1, 2013 Make sure you have downloaded the offline address book, otherwise it keeps wanting to run off to the remote server to check it which can add delays
sukh Posted October 1, 2013 Posted October 1, 2013 first make sure you have tw latest cu & patch outlook & office. can you then check your cas server application logs. cached mode v online mode? what if you click in address book? results? Then drop down & select all users. .results?
