KrisTech Posted September 27, 2013 Posted September 27, 2013 So I have recently received a new RM Desktop from RM, through work. It came CC4 ready and I plugged it into the network and booted it. The CC4 ready screen was open and it said it couldnt pick up any network. Anyway, a few attempts later. The CC4 screen has gone and normal Windows 7 desktop is on the machine. I know how to rebuild the PC. But not sure how to build from a disk image on the server. In order to build this PC onto the network i need to press and hold both of the shift keys when the RMR comes at the top left of the screen during boot. But this doesnt appear? what can i do to put this PC on the network? Any help is welcomed. Thanks - Kris
the_wuigi Posted September 27, 2013 Posted September 27, 2013 How do you normally build computers onto the network? pxe boot is the way to go on CC4
rad Posted September 27, 2013 Posted September 27, 2013 Go into bios, set LAN as first option and f12 is easier to hit when needed. RMR only works when it has been built onto network, so a rebuild not first build
blunty91 Posted September 30, 2013 Posted September 30, 2013 Yep boot it via LAN It needs a machine number set so can be seen in RMMC etc, which is why it's not probably working on network yet.
KrisTech Posted October 3, 2013 Author Posted October 3, 2013 Its sorted now. The Windows deployment server wasn't on. I eventually PXE booted through that then selected the Image. Thanks guys anyway
