Hi all,

I was hoping someone could help our School has rolled out iPads to all the students and I've been looking into a replacement browser which can monitor/restrict content, K9 does the job but you can't block things like Facebook at home.

I installed Qustodio and this software is brilliant for use at home or on a public Wifi, but as soon as the iPad comes into the school it stops working because of the proxy.

Has anyone had any luck getting this to work with a proxy or can you suggest something that is configurable that does?

Many thanks.

Contact Qustodio, who should be able to tell you what IPs and ports need opening / whitelisting on your filters, or any network technician worth his salt should be able to connect to an isolated SSID with one, fire up Wireshark from a laptop, and trace what it attempts to access.

Thanks Marci,

I've had no response from Qustodio and its a nightmare to trace what the iPad is doing because everything being sandboxed, so I think a Windows PC and Wireshark might be in order.

The IT Technician thinks its a problem with Qustodio not using the proxy, there are no proxy settings in the app which was why I was hoping someone else might have had experience.
