witch Posted September 25, 2013 Posted September 25, 2013 We have 4 networked HP2025s around the school. Currently, one of them will either print text and no pics, or nothing at all. A test page generated from the printer is absolutely fine - all colours present and correct. Can anyone shed light on this? If a teacher is printing, they can select one of the other printers around the school and all is fine, which would surely indicate that the driver is OK? Pupils dont get the option to print to other printers.

bossman Posted September 25, 2013 Posted September 25, 2013 Are you using HP's universal print drivers? These have created me some very frustrating moments over the past year as they install some crazy files which quite frankly are not required. If your using windows 7 drivers then it looks like it could be the default settings on the print server which require configuration. Had another 3 solid hours of researching and re-configuring parts of the registry just for 2 workstations as they had issues mapping 2 HP printers, will find out tomorrow if it was fruitful. witch Posted September 26, 2013 Author Posted September 26, 2013 I cant see why it would be the drivers- we have four identical network printers and the others are fine I haven't tried the pdf thing - I will do that today
