reggiep Posted September 24, 2013 Posted September 24, 2013 We have been using Apple configurator on some staff iPads to see how we get on. We gave out an iPad to a member of staff who later realised that pictures cannot be transferred off a supervised device. So we though we would unsupervise it for her. Theres where we hit a snag. Unsupervising wipes the device but she has stuff on it she wants to keep, including pictures!! How the heck are we supposed to get those photos off, baring in mind that her dropbox is also full!
TechieWils Posted September 24, 2013 Posted September 24, 2013 We use webdav and an app called over the air (free) that or email them to her self but I will admit it's annoying.
rush_tech Posted September 24, 2013 Posted September 24, 2013 Yes I recently came across this and ended up emailing the picture
j224 Posted September 25, 2013 Posted September 25, 2013 Apparently the latest version of Configurator (1.4) allows supervised iPads to be connected to other Macs. Doesn't mention PC's though?
SovietRussia Posted September 25, 2013 Posted September 25, 2013 You could use iExplorer on the Mac, it views and allows you to download the files like candy from a baby. 1

j224 Posted September 25, 2013 Posted September 25, 2013 Just install the Simple Transfer app. There's a free version that limits you to downloading 50 photos at a time. The paid version removes the restriction and is very cheap if you're worried you'll only use it once. 1
