A way to record safeguarding/child protection issue(s), I have looked at linked documents but could another new document be added called safeguarding? On the status drop down menu of the private and confidential which users could see these types of documents just SLT? Or can someone recommend a better way. Edited September 13, 2013 by ticker

Private is for creator only, confidential is SLT,SENco and i think one other group.

The type of document is not customisable.

You could add a note / DOC which indicates they should go to a network drive if you want better control. Or eeven create a UDF check box as a flag.

We found that "private" for really sensitive stuff failed the "CPO hit by a bus" test - no-one else would know the doc was there.

 

The other options (confidential) were too permissive for our needs, so we did what @vikpaw suggested - a confidential note that said "There is something and it's important, ask CPO or backup CPO for more info". Docs were then stored where CPO and bCPO could both access them, but they were secure.
