Rawns Posted October 30, 2013 Posted October 30, 2013 Not a good morning. I've caught Al's disease http://t3.gstatic.com/images?q=tbn:ANd9GcTLgmc0p8CXH2ag94ZNCioPXl5O3dPgXP_Q8lABTM_1lIkayIJF Juice of one Lemon, tablespoon of honey, a shot of Jack Daniels, one cinnamon stick, hot water. Place all in a mug. Drink. Feel epic after. Job done. Hoooray! Due to the minimal response to the 'three cheers' attempt, I think I'll leave it at just one!
teejay Posted October 30, 2013 Posted October 30, 2013 Juice of one Lemon, tablespoon of honey, a shot of Jack Daniels, one cinnamon stick, hot water. Place all in a mug. Drink. Feel epic after. Job done. Or just cut to the chase and sit there morosely knocking back the JD until you pass out... 1

sparkeh Posted October 30, 2013 Posted October 30, 2013 Well last night I tried max strength flu tablets, lots of diet coke and copious amounts of Dominos pizza. Had too much caffeine really and was buzzing until the early hours.

sparkeh Posted October 30, 2013 Posted October 30, 2013 Ummmmmmmm.........Dominos............ Detail! Flavour? Size? Stuffed crust? Extra toppings? Sides? Dips?! Don't leave me hanging here!!!!!1 Haha ok ok details. Well it was Two for Tuesday so the wife and I had a large each (so we could have left overs for lunch ). The wife had her usual, the Cheese & Tomato with extra cheese and Pineapples. I had my usual, the Cheese & Tomato with extra cheese and Jalapeno Peppers - Garlic & Herb dip Bit worrying how much we are having Dominos at the moment, the delivery guy knows us a bit too well and stands and has a chat. Still, not as bad as a friend at uni when the takeaway down the road rang him on his mobile to see if he wanted anything before they closed shop 2
StevieM Posted October 30, 2013 Posted October 30, 2013 Still, not as bad as a friend at uni when the takeaway down the road rang him on his mobile to see if he wanted anything before they closed shop That genuinely made me laugh out loud!

Still, not as bad as a friend at uni when the takeaway down the road rang him on his mobile to see if he wanted anything before they closed shop Sure, why not. I believe that. For me, it has to be Texas BBQ replacing the green pepper for sweet roquito peppers! Or a big smoky! Both are epic. And I usually cave too and get chicken strippers! The thing is I have it really rarely now due to the cost. Even with 2 for Tues or discount vouchers, it's still expensive for what it is, but it tastes damn good! Before I got married a few years ago, I did 6 months as a delivery driver at Dominos to get some honeymoon money together. The discounts I got on pizza were crazy! I ate so much I'm surprised I did not look like a pizza!
StevieM Posted October 30, 2013 Posted October 30, 2013 And I usually cave too and get chicken strippers! Am I the only one imagining opening the front door and seeing 2 giant chickens slowly plucking out their own feathers, while the sleazy striptease music plays in the background?
Rawns Posted October 30, 2013 Posted October 30, 2013 Am I the only one imagining opening the front door and seeing 2 giant chickens slowly plucking out their own feathers, while the sleazy striptease music plays in the background? Honestly? Yes. Yes you are!
teejay Posted October 30, 2013 Posted October 30, 2013 Am I the only one imagining opening the front door and seeing 2 giant chickens slowly plucking out their own feathers, while the sleazy striptease music plays in the background? Well... 2
StevieM Posted October 30, 2013 Posted October 30, 2013 Well... Phew! That makes me feel a whole lot better. Wait a minute...Did you just do an image search for chicken strippers!! 1
sparkeh Posted October 30, 2013 Posted October 30, 2013 sweet roquito peppers! Yep that was my usual but they don't do them anymore :*-( Actually my normal usual is olives rather than Jalepenos as I always complain about the peppers giving me a bad stomach so when it comes to order time the wife is giving me the "Don't order Jalapenos look". However last night she was tending to the baby while I ordered the pizza so when it came she said "You ordered Jalapenos!" to which I replied "Well there wasn't anybody around to stop be being an idiot!"
VeryPC Posted October 30, 2013 Author Posted October 30, 2013 Morning folksies. Just heading to our multi-million dollar studio to film today's winner draw (it's all done on greenscreen youknow). Good luck! Al

sparkeh Posted October 30, 2013 Posted October 30, 2013 Morning folksies. Just heading to our multi-million dollar studio to film today's winner draw (it's all done on greenscreen youknow). Good luck! Al Cool. Its amazing how much it costs to recreate that 'amateurish' look.
StevieM Posted October 30, 2013 Posted October 30, 2013 Cool. Its amazing how much you can spend on recreating that 'amateurish' look. In the industry it's known as the Dogme 95 manifesto.
Rawns Posted October 30, 2013 Posted October 30, 2013 I had no doubt that it would a big budget production! The special effects up to now have been off the hook!
sparkeh Posted October 30, 2013 Posted October 30, 2013 In the industry it's known as the Dogme 95 manifesto. Hmm lets check the rules Shooting must be done on location. Props and sets must not be brought in (if a particular prop is necessary for the story, a location must be chosen where this prop is to be found). Props! The sound must never be produced apart from the images or vice versa. (Music must not be used unless it occurs where the scene is being shot.) The camera must be hand-held. Any movement or immobility attainable in the hand is permitted. The film must be in colour. Special lighting is not acceptable. (If there is too little light for exposure the scene must be cut or a single lamp be attached to the camera). Special lighting Optical work and filters are forbidden. The film must not contain superficial action. (Murders, weapons, etc. must not occur.) Temporal and geographical alienation are forbidden. (That is to say that the film takes place here and now). Temporal shenanigans Genre movies are not acceptable. The film format must be Academy 35 mm. I assume it isn't The director must not be credited.

As far as I'm aware, all props are already at the location and not brought in specifically. 4. Special lighting? Where's that then? 7. Filming relates specifically to the current day in a real company. No shenanigans there. 9. Err... ok But even Thomas Vinterberg and Laars Von Triers, the founders of Dogme 95, broke their own rules on occasions: Examples - Vinterberg covered up a window and brought in special lighting for a scene in 'Festen' (Brilliant film, btw) Von Triers added music Camille Saint-Saens 'The Swan' to the soundtrack of 'The Idiots' (Another brilliant, yet deeply disturbing, film)

Been known to partake of a bit of the Dogme directors in my time myself. Generally not for the faint hearted, but sometimes very compelling stuff. ...and let's say that we do shoot in 35 mil. Let's just say that. STOCKTOBER2! a Dogme 95 certified thingy. Al 1
