Adding an Icon to RM CC3 Desktop

Hi All,

Does anyone know of a way I can put a shortcut onto the desktop of all the users on the CC3 network? I've hunted through the manglement console and the RM knowledge base to no avail !

 

Any thoughts?

Personally I'd advise against it, as you will probably find yourself inundated with requests for desktop shortcuts, but if you are sure you want them, you can put them in C:\D&S\All Users\Shared Desktop. Create a package to deliver the .lnk files to that location and update the package as necessary.

I tried that, nobody but the system administrators group can see it.

That's odd. We've placed icons here where all users can see them. Are you sure it was the Shared desktop folder and not just Desktop?

Also helps if I'm not trying to test it with an administrator account that doesn't seem to get that desktop! All working now cheers!
