[sims] System Manager 7 New user

I am trying to add new teachers to the sims system using system manager 7 and they are not showing up. However, I can see the new teachers if I go into system manager 6.

 

The business manager has added them to personnel.

 

Surely I must be able to add them via system manager 7 and not have to use system manager 6

 

Any help greatly appreciated

Check their contract start date. If its not yet a current date (ie in the future) then System Manager 7 won't display them. Also be careful of manually creating users in SysMan 6, especially if their teachers - you could end up with duplicate users once Sys Man 7 pulls them from Personnel, and their timetables assigned to the wrong user.

 

A further note - make sure that they have a start date in Personnel. I vaguely recall a user that didn't have a start date not showing up, took a bit of head scratching to figure that one out.
