What to do with a PC

I have an old PC (Dell Dimension 2400) sat on the computer table in the hall way basically looking pretty as my Dad doesn't want a empty space. His PC is on the dining room table as its easier for him to use so this PC doesn't get used. It cost me £50 from a friend with a 17" which is what I basically wanted it for.

 

The PC is sat there with a 15" monitor doing nothing, got any ideas for uses? Was tempted to do something Linux with it as Windows XP is bit slow on it, think it has 1Gb of ram, been a while since it was booted up.

 

Want to have a play and do something but need ideas, needs to be useful, don't want to use it as a file server or anything as already have one, wondered if I could turn it into a kiosk type machine doing something useful? Sat there with a network printer and also a scanner connected via a Belkin USB>Network hub.

I'd take it off you, don't need a monitor as I would use it as a server.
