Jollity Posted July 21, 2013 Posted July 21, 2013 We are going to trial a couple of tablets in our preschool, and want to compare an Android based device against an iPad. Initially it is mainly going to be the children using educational apps (closely staff supervised), but ultimately we may be moving towards collecting EYFS observations on tablets. Does anyone have any recommendations for suitable android tablets? I have a fairly generous budget on a par with an iPad 4. I do not know much about android devices, but I often hear good things about the Samsung Galaxy ranges.

Stone_Liz Posted July 23, 2013 Posted July 23, 2013 Hi @Jollity, We're finding the Samsung Galaxy Tablets very poular in schools. They're great for smaller children - keeping them engaged, motivated and working together. There are so many fun and exciting apps for smaller children available. If you need pricing or an evaluation unit to trial - just PM me your details. Another option to consider would be Samsung's new Ativ Tab 3 for a light and very thin Windows based tablet, let me know if any are of interest or if you'd like to talk to one of the team for more details on these. Liz
