[sims] SIMS Behavior Points for Attendance

Hi all I need help again

 

Someone told me that there is a way that SIMS will automatically give points to any student who is on time and deduct points for any student who is marked late on the register. (obviously people are good at telling you that SIMS can do stuff but can't tell you how it is done)

 

I have looked everywhere in SIMS to see if there is way to do this and couldn't find it. So does anyone on here know who to do it

I suspect however that the attendance officer or pastoral manager at the school of the person who told you this simply runs a report each morning and allocates the necessary points manually (that's what we do) - the person you spoke to sees the points for attendance and assumes it's automatic!

Thanks Guys. That is what I thought. Its very easy for people to say that you can do stuff but when you ask them what they have done they fail to say how it's been done. Plus I'm sure no one in my school will be willing to manually update the behaviour points.

It's possible to do this in PARS using Rule-Based Behaviours.

We use http://www.vivomiles.comVivo rewards and they can be set up to automatically reward for attendance and punctuality. Though i dont think it can remove Vivo points for lateness.

Apparently it will integrate with SIMS to reward for behaviour points. Its one of my "jobs for the holidays" to get it set up.......
