bwestlake Posted July 16, 2013 Posted July 16, 2013 we are looking at moving our website off site and were wondering at different company's, looking at fasthosts as they are local to us, or go daddy... So who do you use? and what made you choose them over others?
creese Posted July 16, 2013 Posted July 16, 2013 https://www.vidahost.com/ I got a 3 year deal for £140. Their support is fantastic, even backing up and moving my old sites. Also uses cPanel, which is the reason for moving.
ZeroHour Posted July 16, 2013 Posted July 16, 2013 looking at fasthosts as they are local to us, or go daddy... Neither! I have had experience with both and its not good. (example: http://www.theregister.co.uk/2008/07/10/edugeek_fasthosts/ ) I have found Managed web hosting | Dedicated servers and VPS | Webfusion UK to be good in previous years but I am sure there are plenty others out there.
BKGarry Posted July 16, 2013 Posted July 16, 2013 We use LCHost .:. Fast UK Webhosting .:. Dedicated Servers .:. Colocation to which I cannot fault their service, they have done full MySQL and file restores at 11:30pm until 1am before because I have ruined a Joomla installation, but since then I have moved to wordpress for our website.
NewFormz Posted July 24, 2013 Posted July 24, 2013 I use Just Host the prices are good and the support is fantastic. They also have lots of things like word press and Joomla that can be setup and used very easily.
pete Posted July 24, 2013 Posted July 24, 2013 We use Positive Internet to host the website. They tend to just work and tickets get dealt with quickly. Personally I'm using Krystal and (for what I actually use, which is basic webserving and a bit of DNS management) have no complaints.
