Network Support and Systems Developer - The Chase Malvern

Full Time 37 Hours per week, Full Year

 

Salary: Scale 6, Points 26-28 £22,221 - £23,708) Pay rise pending)

Holidays: 23 Days + 2 Statutory Days + Bank and Public Holidays

 

The Chase School seeks to employ a Network Support and Systems Developer with effect from 1 September 2013 (or as soon as possible after this date). You will support the Information Systems Manager in providing a reliable network of computers, projectors, screens, whiteboards and server infrastructure across the school, and also provide support for staff and students in their use of IT.

 

 

Person Spec

 

Essential Technical Skills

 

 

All aspects of Windows Server 2003/8/12 (Deployment, integration and maintenance)

Active Directory (GPO/DHCP/DNS).

VMware Virtualisation and Shared Storage Practices.

Exchange Server 2007/2010.

Knowledge of Citrix Products and Technologies.

Network Management and performance analysis (Wired and wireless)

TCP / IP.

Routing switches, (inc VLANS) Firewalls

Experience of the deployment and support of SANs and iSCSI.

Network Support background.

Windows Server Support background.

Excellent communication and support skills. (written and verbal)

Ability to utilise resources effectively, through appropriate planning and effective prioritisation.

Willing to engage in out of hours support work.

Desire to exceed customer expectations.

Drive and energy to see projects through

 

Desirable Technical Skills

 

Aspects of Mac OS 10.8/9

MDM and BYOD Concepts

Web Design and content creation
