Ubiquiti UniFi Controller Hardware

For people using Unifi, what are you using for the controller ? and is the Linux version the version of choice ?

Linux version here, running on an old-ish VXL Thin Client (a proof of concept for one of the Primary Schools we support which never fully happened). I can't knock it, its been running non-stop no issues since I set it up a year ago. I used to run the Windows version for a little while but odd stability issues forced me to look at alternatives.

On my 2010ish iMac Core2Duo 8Gb - has been fine, but will move it to a Linux VM in the summer some time...

wouldn't use the Windows version here...

On a Server 2008 R2 VM with a few other services running. Not really caused any problems so got no need to change it.

Ubuntu 12.04 LTS (VM), works great.

We run all of ours in XenServer Virtual Machines running Ubuntu. Have no issues at all.

We have it running on a virtual server 2012, so far so good no problems.

Hope so, was hoping to get this completed for one of my summer jobs - linitx has an estimated date of 23/08, will be a bit too late then.
