[ipad] Cant Authorise computer in itunes for VPP Manager

Hi

 

Just about to start managing ipads using vpp and configurator. My instruction set says to download one copy of each app onto itunes on management computer and sync, then copying apps accross to use in configurator.

 

However I cant tranfer the spps onto computer as I cant authorise the computer for use by VPP Manager as its associated with VPP!

 

any ideas anyone?

You create a different email address to the one you are using with the VPP and then use that to setup an iTunes account.

Hi The problem is that I need it to be associated with the VPP to sync the ipad!

You just need to have a different Apple ID to the VPP one, as VPP apps can be redeemed on any Apple ID

 

Breakdown (Example):

 

iPad and iTunes are signed into ipad@schooldomain

VPP account is on vpp@schooldomain

 

ipad@schooldomain can still redeem any VPP codes bought using vpp@schooldomain

Well got it sorted, I was tring to log in as VPP facilitator should have been using VPP manager.

 

Much stamping of feet, mac mini and ipad just about to fly through window!

No you have got this wrong again.....

 

DO NOT use any Apple ID you have used with VPP in iTunes, when you come to sign in to the VPP again it will now tell you that you can not use this as this ID is linked with iTunes

 

On the Mac you are using to manage the iPads create a single everyday Apple iTunes ID by creating one in iTunes Store on that Mac.
