I could do with the same. I've been chopping up scripts from the web to get a few small jobs done.

Same here, you can see how much a tool PowerShell can be, from scripting tasks in MDT, Active Directory, Exchange etc.

I have been meaning to look into this for some time [complete PowerShell novice here] but I never got around to it.

Thanks @DaveP I've had a look at that site before... I think maybe I'm a bit odd and in the minority but I do like to learn from a book!

Don Jones' and Lee Holmes' PowerShell books are all really good. I'll post some more links when I get home, but in the interim you may find the following thread useful.

To start with I would get the PowerShell Cookbook, 3rd Edition and Learn Windows PowerShell 3 in a Month of Lunches, Second Edition and watch the video below.
