Sunnyknight Posted June 10, 2013 Posted June 10, 2013 So... if i'm to clarify... You took almost 3 weeks of bullshizzlewicks, laughed at, told where your GOING to have it delivered, regardless of what you say, and hung up on.... yet your still going ahead with this. *scratches head* Is it just me, or does anyone else spot something wrong? Cancel the damn pedal pusher and buy the exact same one (or similar) elsewhere. Sheesh, if they did that with my car, i'd have cooked their garage! 2

Sheesh, if they did that with my car, i'd have cooked their garage! Damn, too late. Oh well. 1

For a change I'm with @Sunnyknight on this one - they are taking the P-155. I'd have demanded a full refund at the point at which the guy said you couldn't have it delivered to the delivery address.
Hefferzzzz Posted June 10, 2013 Posted June 10, 2013 So, does anyone know a decent supplier that we get @Little-Miss on with so that she gets good service AND gets her bike quickly!?? 2

I'd have demanded a full refund at the point at which the guy said you couldn't have it delivered to the delivery address. I also find myself agreeing with him. However a slight disagreement with delivery. With orders done through finance, I find that in almost all cases, the goods have to be delivered to the address the finance order is set up against. I guess it's one extra security check for them to confirm you really do live where you say you do.

If that's the case they should have pointed that out in the beginning rather than letting the different "delivery address" ride for this long... ("ride" - see what I did there?) Hefferzzzz Posted June 10, 2013 Posted June 10, 2013 Yeah, very good. Same tyred old puns. Why do people insist on recycling old jokes?
BatchFile Posted June 10, 2013 Posted June 10, 2013 Wishing I never spoke. I didn't wheely mean any harm! (there's two there:rolleyes:)

Sunnyknight Posted June 10, 2013 Posted June 10, 2013 People agreeing with me. What a rare moment! *takes a moment to cherish the.... moment....* lol 1
BatchFile Posted June 10, 2013 Posted June 10, 2013 That's enough now, we don't want to derailleur the thread.
laserblazer Posted June 10, 2013 Posted June 10, 2013 OMG, how did I get saddled with this. I'm tyred of being peddled a chain of puny puns.
Hefferzzzz Posted June 10, 2013 Posted June 10, 2013 That's enough now, we don't want to derailleur the thread. Quite. @Little-Miss I bought bike from these guys a while ago and had it delivered ok, paid for it on finance too. Bikes and Bicycles Online from Evans Cycles | UK Online Bike Shop 1

Oh i get that, i just didn't think about it at the time as the system continued to let me put another delivery address in. I obviously needed it in big letters in front of me and then it wouldn't have come as such a shock! lol *reads recent posts* BTW....you guys suck! Edited June 11, 2013 by Little-Miss 1

Hefferzzzz Posted June 11, 2013 Posted June 11, 2013 They also have the bike i want, apparently in stock. Problem is, i'm a bit wary now.... Yeah but now you are experienced and know not to take any messing. Do they have a store local to you so you could go and arrange it face to face? 1
theriver Posted June 11, 2013 Posted June 11, 2013 I got my latest bike from Evans (Waterloo), they were really helpful there. I prefer my local non-corporate bike shop, but Evans were competent enough, and did a 6-week service to check the bike over after I'd done a few miles on it as part of the deal. On the subject of financing - does your employer take part in the Bike 2 Work scheme? Tax free bikes for work through the Government's Green Transport Initiative - Cyclescheme, provider of Cycle to Work schemes for UK employers - Cyclescheme
north-ict Posted June 11, 2013 Posted June 11, 2013 @Little-Miss Im sorry to hear your having some bad luck but I was thinking there maybe another option that might make things easier if its possible. Sign up for a tesco clubcard that has 16 months interest free on purchases. Buy your bike from wherever with the card and then just set up a standing order split over 15 months and your done! Just thought I would suggest that as another option if your credit is good. 1
eduabncs Posted June 11, 2013 Posted June 11, 2013 (edited) Little Miss, Do a search on the BCC intranet at inline.birmingham.gov.uk and do a search for 'cycle to work scheme' should throw few PDF's that contain the info and links required to find out more. Essentially though it's a salary sacrifice scheme that allows you to chose, via any approved supplier in scheme, any bike up to £1000. Edited June 11, 2013 by eduabncs
