[sims] Traffic Light Colour in SIMS Assessment Manager - can't get rid of it

Hi!

I'm sorry if this is posted anywhere else on edugeek, i did search but couldnt find an answer. I'm creating a tracking sheet in SIMS Assessment Manager, and one of my columns (where the forumla was MAX) was being shaded red for no reason. I checked all the Nested if Then Else formulas and it wasnt using that column so I couldnt see why it was coloured in. I tried deleting all my Traffic Light formulas from my marksheet template but this is still pulling through all of the traffic light colours on the marksheet.

Is there a way of getting rid of the traffic light colours or do I need to start again?

It may be that the column is being coloured in another mark sheet.

I've checked and there isn't anywhere else that this would be coloured from - I have set up the aspects for my marksheet from scratch so they wouldn't used be anywhere else.

Have you tried right clicking on the column heading and clear column colour?

I had this some time ago, and although it was a bit of a faff I'm sure I found that if I created a nested if then else for if 1 = 1 then blank (selecting no colour) and apply that to the column in question (through Also colour this column), calculating will remove the colour. That formula column can then be deleted.

Hopefully that should successfully get rid of your colour.

If it doesn't, it must be picking up a colour from another template.

Hi, I don't suppose any one knows how to clear data generated by a formula in a marksheet do you? I currently have data that has calculated from somewhere but it shouldn't be there. Thanks!

If it's in an aspect, you can't clear aspects. It won't save and will revert to the old value.

You'd have to use the tools to delete results which works well but is scary.

Just be sure to track the source of the issue. It seems you've got columns that appear on marksheets elsewhere and are picking up calculations and colours etc. If you don't find out where, there's nothing to stop it happening again.

If it's at the end of a marksheet that someone else is updating even if it's a different column, if it auto calculates you'll keep getting it back again.

Hopefully it's just old data that shouldn't recur but be careful.

It's useful to right click and view result - i think that's possible on a formula column too, and check the date and who entered it.
