It works like an absolute champ on my system (Firefox 49.0.2 on Ubuntu 14.04). Sketchup has always been a pain in the 'tux on Linux but Sketchup in a browser is fantastic. I tried it on a school PC that has a Radeon HD 6450 and the website says "Sorry. We encountered a problem with your web browser's WebGL support". On my home PC with a GTX 1080 it works perfectly.

Rob_C Posted February 1, 2017 Posted February 1, 2017 I wonder if anyone can help me? I am using the MST's from post #41 with Sketchup 2016. It works perfectly on our x64 machines but I still get the Pro Trial on our x86 machines? I'm using the same command for both versions with the file paths adjusted to the different msi, mst's and license file. The license file appears to get copied to C:\ProgramData\SketchUp\SketchUp 2016 and it contains '##NonCommercialUse,NoTrial' Any ideas?

Are you installing SketchUp Make 2016 on a computer that already has an older version of SketchUp? Is the 32-bit MSI being installed on a 32-bit or 64-bit version of Windows? I am extracting the msi from SketchUpPro-2016-1-1450-80430-en-x86.exe using 7-Zip. Placing the msi, mst and license file in the same folder. Using this command to install... msiexec /i \\servername\packages$\MSI\SketchUp2016\32\SketchUp2016-x86.msi TRANSFORMS=\\servername\packages$\MSI\SketchUp2016\32\SketchUp2016-x86.mst /qb! Rob_C Posted February 2, 2017 Posted February 2, 2017 And the 32-bit MSI is being installed on a 32-bit machine. I tried installing the 32-bit MSI on a 64-bit machine and it has the same problem. 64-bit MSI on 64-bit machine works fine.

Just to add I wanted to eliminate it being our network machines so I installed Windows 7 Pro x86 on a VM. We use Burconix Network Management Tools which essentially just runs the install command like you would from the command line itself (msiexec /i \\servername\.... etc). I have also tried installing it manually from the command line with the same results. Nothing that is any different from our 64-bit machines that work fine. The Licence file gets copied to ProgramData\SketchUp\SketchUp 2016\SketchUp.lic and contains '##NonCommercialUse,NoTrial'. Its like Sketchup can't see its there.

It's like Sketchup can't see its there. It sounds like it might be a job for Process Monitor. This should tell you why SketchUp isn't reading the license file.
Rob_C Posted February 6, 2017 Posted February 6, 2017 @Arthur Thanks for all your help with getting this resolved I have finally got this to work and this is what I did... I installed Sketchup manually on a clean machine. It entered its 30 day free trial like it had always done previously. I changed the date on the machine forward 31 days to see if it would make any changes to the license file that was already present and correct. After I changed the date Sketchup finished it's 30 day trial but didn't enter into the free Sketchup Make mode and just locked down Sketchup asking for a license. So I decided to start a fresh from the beginning... I went to the Sketchup website to re download the .exe to extract the msi. I noticed that you can now only download 'Sketchup 2016 Pro' unlike 2017 where you can download 'Sketchup Make 2017'. This got me thinking, maybe you can't download and run Sketchup Make 2016 any more? So I used my best friend Google and found an old installer for version 16.1.1450, extracted the msi and ran the install command with the original mst and license file that Arthur uploaded and it installed successfully. This may seem obvious to most people but I thought I would document it in case others have the same problem in the future.
