trivers1982 Posted May 10, 2013 Posted May 10, 2013 Hi All We have used Viglen PCs for a few years now as we have always found their systems to be fantastic quality as well as the service being top notch (they are just down the road). However a high PC turnover this year for Windows 7 has meant we required a second and third equivalent quote. One company came back the same price as the Viglens so they were discounted! However the other company came back at £20 a PC less than the Viglens. These were for some exactly equivalent spec Fujitsu PCs. For 115 PCs this is quite a difference over all. The question I have is has any one used Fujitsu PCs and how do you find them? Have you compared them to Viglens at all? I like Viglens for the service especially, as well as the fact they have nearly always been very well built PCs. My SLT and governors will question the difference and I need to make sure I am correct when I tell them Fujitsu are not worth it (or are worth it!). Thanks, have a good weekend! T
round2it Posted May 10, 2013 Posted May 10, 2013 (edited) I replaced all our teacher pcs with Fujitsu we got i5s with 4gb ram at the same price as i3s so better on price service sucks reliability is a bit iffy as our dell machines lasted 10 years some still in use today with 2 failures over the 10 years oh and 5 psus but that's not bad Had one hard drive that took over a week to be replaced they said they didn't have any (not best pleased) Another went today motherboard dead service is 2 business days with the 3 year warranty we got Another pc the power button light has failed but not worth reporting. If service is better with viglen then go with them Hope this helps Edited May 10, 2013 by round2it
RTFM Posted May 13, 2013 Posted May 13, 2013 Are you after some haribos LOL! I didn't have that in mind at the time, but i do now! We've been using VeryPC for 3+ years now and they haven't missed a beat 1
localzuk Posted May 13, 2013 Posted May 13, 2013 If Fujitsu are the same as they were as Fujitsu-Siemens, I'd stay well away... The warranty service we had was terrible. Off-site repairs took weeks. Even a server repair took them days to turn up to. We switched from them to HP and Viglen. So, remember, you get what you pay for! For £20 a PC I'd go for someone I knew and liked.
trivers1982 Posted May 13, 2013 Author Posted May 13, 2013 I am convinced by the Viglens, but my SLT will question the difference. Might give the Fujitsu ones a go at a lot smaller scale (5/6 office PCs).
