I can't believe he has a machine with those specs and hasn't played DayZ! If he doesn't use it to it's full potential i'll take it off his hands :)

Why exactly am i being bullied?! I said i'd come play with you, as wrong as that sounds! You can have my old rig if you want, hellllllll no to my new one lol

:) I'm only joking with you, I'm looking at a new rig myself but I've yet to get the nod from the finance queen :D

I think I should have it, pretty please? I don't even have a semi decent rig. I only have a laptop. So ZERO chance of playing any DayZ here. :'(

Don't.... buy.... it. Hold out for 6 months, and the 3930k will be down by about, £100. GTX 670 will be down by a good £100 - £150. Build the damn rig yourself, you get more for your money, so i've found anyway. 8gb is basic these days, get 12 - 16.

 

Also, I'd eat rawns without any limbs, or teeth or anything. He's beaten by me by my pure existence!

 

@Sunnyknight my name is amazing. Pssh! ;) And really?! How much for?! <3 It's a good start that's how I'm going to look at this! I can only move forward! :p

 

AM3 board, probably about £85 - 90 as a gestimate, bulldozer around £100, and psu about £60. Have to price up properly later.

depends which variant of the sabertooth you get, the original Sabertooth990fx will be around £90ish, the Sabertooth990fx r2.0, currently retails at around £145 and the new one thats about to be released with PCIE 3.0 supports etc will be £180ish (as estimated by one of our suppliers)

 

also i know the r2.0 costs that much because i bought one about a month ago

I'm on about the sabertooth i bought, ie the 990fx original. At the time, it cost me £189 and was 2nd best, again behind the formula. Tech always gets better, but it doesn't mean someone has to miss out on a second grade rig :S

 

It's all about what you can buy within your budget.

 

Also, get off the AMD bandwaggon. Intel, as always, leads in CPU performance. The 3930k i have, and some of the i7 laptops i've used are frigging amazing!

When i get round to upgrading again i'll be going back to Intel

I've got an i5 Laptop atm with a GeForce 630 and its fantastic plays DayZ like a dream with constant FPS of around 50...depending on the server load obviosuly
