[pass] 2 Copies at once

Anyone got an idea how I can open two copies of the program at once on one PC? It's proving resistant to that idea...

 

(We are creating a new school and thus need copy info from the old school into the new, a lot easier if you can open 2 side by side. I can't use another PC as we are out of licences and this is not a long term thing).

If the program won't let you have two instances then the only option is another PC. It could be a VM that is on your current PC, a nearby PC or a remote desktop session to another PC. The last two could be already licensed machines.

 

Presumably the application needs to talk to a database somewhere and trying to get the same executable / shared files to look at two different DBs when it's not designed for it is asking for data corruption.

Would it let you shift&right-click, then "Run as different user"?

Problem there is that I'm out of licences so can't run it on two PC's. It's a short term thing for convieience. Think I'm going to have to disapoint someone.

So you only have 1 licence? i was thinking you have other licenced PCs so you could remote to one of them. If you're doing something useful, and setting up a new school ask them for a temporary licence. I'd think most companies would be amenable to something like that short term.
