Papercut Users: Can you test something for me Hiding the Release all and delete all b

Hi could some kind papercut users please test the following for me

 

we use the print release function via the following url http:\\servername:9191\release

 

on this page it has release all and delete all buttons

 

i need to remove these buttons

 

on the admin console under options you will find a check box that says enable release all and delete all buttons

 

when i uncheck nothing is happening on our brand new build latest release

we are nunning 13.1 build 21541 march 28th

i know you can change a config file for dedicated print release stations but i need to be able to do the same on the above mentioned url

 

can you post your finding to see if its a bug in the build or a bug in my braincells

Where abouts is that option? I don't see it on the options page.

Perhaps by design. It will remove it from /user jobs pending release

the /release page is intended for release managers and i expect they would find the release all option handy. The only reason i could think of removing it would be if the release managers were just hitting print all, if so then the issue lies with those tricky humans fighting the system

yep the problem is they are numptys and hit print all

 

i dont think i can change this option as the one i found was for when the pupil logs in to see what jobs they have printed from the link on the balance popup

You can use filters but you are better off using the dedicated release station software as you can configure that a lot more.

Hey,

 

I work in the Melbourne office and sit about 15 meters away from the developers. I've given them a little prod about this and we'll get something out for 13.3 (13.2 is coming out too soon to add something in).

We want to move away from changing the localhost:9191/release as these are made for release mangers and should have full access.

 

The current thinking is to add more fine grained control around the standard release screen.

 

This thread has raised a good point and we'll hopefully have something out soon.

 

Let me know on your thoughts.

Thanks Kent ,you will find in education that no matter what we give teachers they still manage to mess it up

 

We just need finer control

 

Or a teacher release section that you can give teachers access to the devices you require and remove the print/release all and delete all buttons.
