Eben Posted March 7, 2013 Posted March 7, 2013 We are in the process of mapping our network data points in preparation for replacing our unmanaged switches over the summer and I was curious what tone tester tools were available for under £100 and what experiences people have had? Thanks in advance.

linkazoid Posted March 11, 2013 Posted March 11, 2013 We've found the Intellitone to be a bit useless. We've had much more success with these Mills Ltd - Tone Probe Cable Tracer Kit in Wallet. If you have lots of cables to trace and are unsure as to what switch the go back to, then you definitely want one of these Ethernet Connectivity Tester | LinkRunner AT Network Auto-Tester | Fluke Networks - Probably the best thing we've bought for network tracing. Someone on here recommended it.
