samba_man Posted March 8, 2013 Posted March 8, 2013 Fantastic news! I've been trying to work out how to create custom address lists this morning, no wonder I struggled to find anything! Do we have a rough idea of when this new round of updates might come in to effect?
jamesbmarshall Posted March 8, 2013 Author Posted March 8, 2013 For new customers this feature should already be in place. Existing customers (i.e. pre-upgrade Office 365 Education) will have to wait to be upgraded.
mattpant Posted June 3, 2013 Posted June 3, 2013 I've created an address book policy for our students using Office 365, the address book policy is setup to "hide" all school staff from the address list that the students use. I've setup in our AD an attribute (extensionAttribute1) with the content set as "students" which syncs to the cloud to allow me to filter the students out and apply the address book policy to. When I setup new students in my AD, which will get sync'ed over to Office 365, is there a way to automate the assignment of the address book policy, based on the content of "extensionAttribute1" , or will I have to manually assign this each time new users are created with the PowerShell commands? Many Thanks, Matt 1
mattpant Posted July 23, 2013 Posted July 23, 2013 Can anybody help me out on this one please... I've created 2 Address Book Policy's... 1 for Students and 1 for Staff The students get a policy which only gives them a "Students" address list, a room, an Offline and Global Address book The staff get's a policy which allows them to see 2 address lists, 1 with all the staff and another for all the students, along with a room, offline and global etc... Now, when a teacher logs into their mailbox, and click on address books, they see the two lists (Students and Staff) if they click a user in the staff lists, they can see the contact details on the card, E-mail address etc, but If they bring up a user on the pupils list and click on contact, nothing show up, only the name, no email address etc. Why?? Thanks Matt
