Domain Controller Windows Updates

Hi,

 

We have problems with our domain controllers not being able to connect to Windows Update.

 

We are getting Error:80070005 (access denied)

 

Only seems to happen on our dc's. They are both 2008r2 virtual machines, plus 1 physical 2008r2.

 

Has anyone experienced this before?

Just to check.

 

Your using a administrator account. Have you tried both the servers local administrator account and the domain administrator accounts?

 

If you type 'control userpasswords2' into the run box are the correct accounts administrators?

I've no idea what error i was getting when this fix worked, but i had a bug on a couple of 2008R2 machines where the fix was to change the settings to never check for updates then change it back again and it worked. Give it a go, although doesn't sound like the same error i don't think.

Also guessing the timezone and time is correct. Thats a common issue

Thanks for your suggestions guys. Still getting no joy.

 

I have put a request in to SWGFL to see if it's related to there proxy, just to totally rule it out.

 

I have attached the Windowsupdate.log file, hopefully someone can spot something for me.

I had to change our WSUS server settings to disable BITS, as no updates were getting through the county firewall. MS provide a fix for this.
