Dos_Box Posted February 15, 2013 Posted February 15, 2013 Just had a elderly laptop of mine resetting it's date etc. and given its age I suspect it will need a new battery. It's a standard CR2023 but with a connector soldered to it (see pic below). If anyone knows a UK supplier of these please let me know. Oh, and the laptop is an Acer Aspire 6920!
Gaz Posted February 15, 2013 Posted February 15, 2013 I'd be half tempted to make one using heat shink tubing and the original wiring.
Arthur Posted February 15, 2013 Posted February 15, 2013 If anyone knows a UK supplier of these please let me know. The Small Battery Company have some in stock... www.smallbattery.company.org.uk/sbc_cr2032-wrs.htm 1

difinity Posted February 18, 2013 Posted February 18, 2013 I was looking for a CR1225 battery yesterday with solder tabs for a laptop. Farnell sell a few coin cell batteries with solder tabs and sensible prices. Non Rechargeable Batteries | Non Rechargeable Battery | Farnell United Kingdom | Results I ended up removing one from a scrap laptop and using the original wiring and connector.
Dos_Box Posted February 18, 2013 Author Posted February 18, 2013 Cheers Dave, I'll take you up on that. I'll get you a beer in at Manchester 1
