Same as my first programming book about 3 years ago, still haven't read it all as it was recommended by the uni and I opted for online tutorials.

1 day delivery?! You'll be lucky if you can teach students how to perform basic operations in an IDE in a day, let alone program C++!

I must say that the book I got Understanding Java: Amazon.co.uk: Barry Cornelius: Books was most excellent actually! I'm just not sure any book should cost upwards of £40

Just goes to show what a difference competition from the Internet makes - I remember when some university textbooks cost upwards of £100, and that was a few years ago when you could have quite an entertaining night out for £5.
