EduLock - Unrestricted TaskManager "Fix" Testers?

Hey,

 

Seems a few people been asking about EduLock with unrestricted taskmanager so going to try to make a quick fix for them, and looking for a few people who aren't restricting taskmanager that might be interested to try it. (When it's done at least)

 

(Note this isn't a replacement, or new release as such. Just a fix. Still rewriting service version.)

Here is a link to the TaskManager version which seems to be working ok (at least in my minitest)

You'll find 3 exe's this time, Main EduLock and 2 monitors. All 3 will need to be in the same directory.

 

There are 3 new regKeys that "have" to be added for this version as shown below:

 

 

These are edulockpath, monitorpath1 and monitorpath1, which should be the locations of the exe's in the ZIP.

 

Upon launching of the EduLock exe it should spawn both monitor processes:

 

 

If any of these exe's are manually killed they should respawn themselves from the other exes. It's currently set to a reasonable refresh rate, but if people find it's too slow it can be increased

 

Note: Because of the infinite respawn loop (If exe's killed) some AVs may detect this as a spyware style program. It's not, so please don't get scared

 

Any thoughts/opinions/errors/testers etc would be great (Again this isn't a full release etc, just a temp stop until service version working )

The following error msg when running your amazing program !

 

i installed .net framework 4.5 and also run sfc /scannow but again this msg appear !

 

i use windows 7 ultimate SP1 64bit. tnx bro

If you expand the details what's the full error?

 

If a file isn't found it's probably installed to a different place if you're using 64bit (in regards to 32bit)

Are you trying to run this direct from that path? As if so you'll need to change the registry keys to where it's installed as that's not the default location.

 

Unless you particular need the taskmanager version I'd suggest using the original download, as this one was only a certain fix for unrestricted task managers.

Are you trying to run this direct from that path? yes , change this location and copy 3 files on d:\ but not still work
