    Live Meeting Opportunities

    *Message curtesey of Alex (apearce)*

    EduGeek members,
    I would like to hear your thoughts on a opportunity for all edugeek members to interactive in a new way.

    I have been give a years license to Microsoft Live Meeting which is a online meeting space for presentations, screen sharing, chat etc - Click Here for more information on Microsoft Live Meeting

    I would like to do some How Tos on Microsoft SharePoint like how to customize your site through CSS and creating your own site templates.

    But the How Tos don't have to stop there, any requests? Do you want to do a Hot To? It can be anything not just a Microsoft product.

    Do you want someone to present a topic for example on VLEs, security, licensing etc

    Leave your thoughts below or feel free to contact me through a PM.

    Here are some thoughts off the top of my head

    * Windows Server 2008 Active Directory
    * Windows Security
    * EduGeek Joomla
    * Learning ASP or PHP

    All presentations sound dandy indeed, but a big point, and an attractive feature from an outside perspective is the following.

    Creating of a Vanilla Server 2003/2008 enviroment. AD setup, PDC setup, DNS setup, DHCP setup, does and dont's etc. Presentations and how-tos like this cover all aspects

    Hey,
    That is a great idea, how about a best practice how to? this could be with any type of software users of this forum choose - Servers, storage servers, AD, etc.

    sharepoint :)

    Sounds great, especially sharepoint setup.

    Would the sessions be available offline afterwards? So we could have an archive of training sessions that we can refer back to and also refer other people to.

    Yeah I can record the event and we could maybe put it up as a wiki on the edugeek site.

    Sharepoint, Moodle, VLE's in general would be nice, also security on Server and at the Desktp, sort of a best practice type of thing
