Anyone playing this?
Absolutely loving it. Reminds me of the good old RTCW:ET days and the S.M.A.R.T system is fun to use, nothing quite like slide tackling 3 people before shooting them .
I play on the PC btw, pre-ordered over steam so avoided the problems they have been having with the store. I hear its pretty buggy on consoles, loving the whole PC port to consoles and them getting the bad deal for a change :P

Urgh... Like the world needs more FPS games.
This would have been better as a Run-n-Gun Assassin's Creed.[/opinion]

Brink was pulled from steam as it was majorly buggy, another rushed release.

Absolutely shocking...took it back 4 hours after purchase.

I have seen terrible reviews, but I havent played it myself.

Xbox...everyone I kno in person that got it for Xbox took it Back. It's a good game in principle but awful in reality.

Considering getting this on PC as it goes. Can anyone point me to some legit reviews?

No one has properly reviewed it as yet, as the general feel is it just isn't ready. I run a gaming community that was gearing up to have this as a new feature but with all the bad experiences from the team we have ditched it till it's been fixed. as i stated Steam Pulled it from their store because it just wasn't ready. Rushed release.

Assuming they wanted to release before the CoD and Battlefield fanfares start going off.

Well I've been playing it since last week and really enjoying it.
True there are a few bugs in it and its lacking in maps but the multiplayer is really good fun when playing with groups of friends.
The single player is awful, bots have retarded AI, more likely to stare at walls as opposed to dropping of the objective but once you get real people playing its much more enjoyable.
Theres also going to be an update to fix a few things and free DLC

I'm really enjoying it. Not seeing the issues console users have, and its a nice change that they get the ... soiled end of the stick.

Graphics are good, bit TF2 ish, at first i had issues with spotting friend or foe due to everyone being able to change their appearance, team mates do have names above their heads though.
Hit boxes and registration seems very good. headshots count so its skill based, grenades are not overpowered which is good.
A.I. is terrible, but that was to be expected really, its only there for teaching you how to play the game, Splash Damage have always focused on multiplayer, RTCW:ET for example has no single player whatsoever.
Dedicated servers available via steam, mod tools out in a week or two iirc.
as far as bugs, i have only seen 1, sometimes the sound cuts out, a reconnect fixes that and patch incoming.
I'm just glad they have made a PC game which uses the PC and dedicated servers full potential, the consoles seem to be having issues with lag and such but honestly its more down to limitations in the console then the game. They are dropping the max players down to 4v4 on consoles to try help.
so some rough scores.
Sound 3/5 due to occasional bug
Multi player 5/5
single player 1/5
overall i would give it a solid 4/5 and with mod tools and patch's incoming soon i think that would rise.
Must admit i loved RTCW:ET and am quite bitter from the dumbing down of games for the console market so might be slightly bias

I had high hopes from early trailers but im not even going to play it now.
There is no proper campain, they single player is just the multiplayer maps on multiplayer scenarios with bad AI bots! This has also recieved some ofthe worst FPS reviews ive seen for a while, here is a proper good look at the game reviewd by people while playing it showing you all aspects of the game.
Quick Look: Brink - Giant Bomb
