I need to renew my Eset Licensing and antivirusonline.co.uk are much cheaper than I was getting quoted by my current supplier are they legit? has anyone any experience with them?

I was in a similar position when I first started using it. There is so much you can do with it. Unfortunately I took the feet first figure it out as I go along approach and made some annoying enrollment errors that I can’t change now. So I found a cheap Intune course on Udemy to give me a general overview of it. Then I started following these guys.

Is it a training issue on behalf of the teacher or can it be prevented by IT? I’m interested from a Teams point of view because we use it ourselves but also from a google meet or Zoom point of view too. I know in Teams you can prevent anonymous access but does that mean every student has to be a guest user? Do you feel using the lobby would prevent this? Any other thoughts, I’d love to hear them.

I’ve to replace a physical server on a shoestring budget. I was considering getting a second hand or refurbished server maybe a dell R710 or newer if the budget can stretch. I’m using one at home in my home lab but has anyone any thoughts on using second hand hardware? I have though of going cloud only but I don’t think I’ll get approval for that this year.

Well I’ve successfully added a device using the method in that link. However can I ask is it recommended that the user is given enrollment manager rights and uses their own login details to enroll or an administrator?

Thanks I haven’t created a provisioning package, I thought that it was for new devices only. I’m trying to add laptops already in use and setup as I want them because they are going offsite again in a few days and I thought it would be an ideal opportunity to try out managing offsite devices using Intune.

I’m trying to learn how to use Intune, but I’ve struggling to get devices enrolled. Ideally I’d like them enrolled by an admin and assigned to a user. What I have done is added 3 laptops by uploading their details using a csv and autopilot, assigned a profile and a user. But they are still showing up as not enrolled. Has anyone any advise on how I can enroll them?

We use a mix of RotaCloud and PeopleHR. It’s for all staff including those that get paid hourly and salary. I used to have an excel version but despite working had very little adoption.

Hi, where do you guys buy your educational subscriptions from? We have educational licensing for office 365 and our server licenses but I’d like to buy azure ad premium and Intune licenses but I don’t know where to get them from?

I’m using Veeam free and it works great. I had to do a full vm restore the other day and it worked easily and more importantly perfectly. It restored it back into production and started the vm up straight away.

We’re starting our first online summer course on the 1st of June using Google meet. Is it possible to have a staff member join multiple meetings at once to help administer or monitor them?

Thanks for the replies. The decision to use meet is above my pay grade as the say. I tried to persuade them to look at other options, without luck.

Our school want to use google meet to run an online summer course. We are a Microsoft house but the brief is explicit that they want Google meet. What sort of licensing if any is needed? We probably looking at 6 Staff and 90 students ish in 4 simultaneous classes every day for a week. Thanks a mill.

How do you recommend choosing what updates to install on your servers? Our support company just hit the wall and I’m taking over for the moment. We don’t have a huge network. 2 x physical server 2016 hyperv hosts 2 x server 2016 core and gui DC VM’s 1 x server 2016 core file share VM 1 x physical server 2016 backup store. I can see that there has been no updates done since Jan. So I installed any critical updates immediately how do you recommend I choose what others to install? I can potentially use the backup server and a test server for updates too if recommended.
