Hi All, Got a device/computer that we need on all the time and signed in. I have created a group and put said device in the group so it can be targeted. I have created a new policy in Devices - Configuration Profile - Allow Hibernate Block & Turn off Hybrid Sleep Plugged in, with the drop down selecting hybrid sleep. This has not worked, is there a power Setting I am missing that I am meant to have ticked? Once I figure out how to keep it awake all the time I am hoping it will not time out and lock the screen. Yes we use Jamf, some iPads are up to date other are a little bit behind. I will give the wipe a try and tell you how it goes.

Hi All, We have multiple iPads onsite, different generations, that used to be able to get onto our MIS/SchoolBase via Chrome, but now it can no longer get past the sign in page. I was advise this is Apple being Apple so not much I could do. I did enable pop-ups on the Chrome Settings, that did nothing. No changes has been applied to our webfilter and I do not believe Schoolbase have made any changes to their whitelist. Anyone else ran into a similar issue? Thanks, Settro

Hi All, Our School currently has Smoothwall but we are not happy with it's technical challenges and cost. We are looking at moving over to Securly, it looks the part, but what I want to know is can network novice like myself, set this up or does it require someone with senior networking knowledge. Hi All, I am trying to enable ssh on our Aruba switch. So far I have done the following. 1. gone into the switch confi and typed "aaa authentication ss login public-key. 2. Generated key pairs with puttygen Now I am stuck here I wanted to try and dir to a usb that has the public key but the dir command is invalid. I tried using Pumpkunk (first time using it) it says it transfer was successful but I do not know how to check this or if I even pointed it to the right location. Hi Davit2005, Thanks for the advice, I checked the Aruba UI once more and found the correct area to upload the firmware, it was in Systems-Firmware Update. I have downloaded Pumkpin still as I think this will be a useful tool for my Extreme switch, so you might see another post from me in the near future asking for some Pumpkin guidance. Hi All, We have a new Aruba switch and I am trying to update its firmware, it is a 2530-8G-POE J9774AI, I have downloaded the Software release YA.16.10.0019, I go to its GUI Config-Management-Update-Browse to file-hit update, then I get the following error message, "Error occurred: Please try again!Upload failed! Error writing config file". Is is something I am doing wrong or do I need to amend anything on the switch before I try an update its firmware? Thanks, Setro

Hi All, My users used to be able to copy an Assignments hyper link and post it in their channel, with the hyper link text stating what it is, for example "Assignment: Fridays Test". Now when they copy and past any assignment it always comes out as "Assignment: Sent a card". Anyone know why that is and how to revert it back so the Hyperlink says what is a link to? Thanks.

Hey Everyone, We're looking at upgrading our wireless solution and our switches along with it. We have 50AP's at the moment and we're in the middle of looking at different providers for a new system. Two companies which have currently been recommended to us are Ruckus AP with Aurba switch and Ubiquiti AP and their switchs. I would apprceiate any comments or feedback of other schools as to what has worked and not worked with your current providers. Do you have any support contracts in place or just manage it in house with the AP's?

Hi All, Using a VM to practiace an upgrade from Windows 8.1 Pro to Windows 10. When opening the command promt as Admin and typing the following "start /wait setup /auto upgrade/quiet /noreboot /dynamicupdate disable /compat scanonly" It starts setup and copying temprary files, then I get a windows popup with the following error message,"An unknown command-line option [/auto] was specified." Anyone know how to resolve this? Kind regards, Setro

Hi LeMarchand, I did make them a temporary Admin and tried saving to their Document folder, made no difference I don't think I've tried saving it to their OneDrive through the application, I will give a try to tomorrow once I have their laptop. Thanks, S

Hi Mavhc, Thanks for the quick response. I did not turn on offline files this is something I will try, is this something I can enable while they are on their home network or does it need to be on the schools? Not certain where the home file is without look at it, I can ask for the laptop back to see where it is. How would I identify the Home Drive path? Yes I thought it would be straight forward like save in c:\users\username\documents. Thanks, S

Hi All, One of my users has borrowed a school laptop so they can work from home during this crisis. They are able to sign into their account/profile as they logged into it before taking off site. When they open a new Word document or try to save a document they get a "Network Error, Windows cannot access \\servername\Staff Desktop.", they hit save and nothing happens. I did have Microsoft take a look at it, all they did was make me uninstall and reinstall it, tried resetting the licence and logging in with a different Office 365 account. The office application works fine again when the laptop is brought back on site. Kind regards, S

Thanks for the quick reply, I have tried both Global and Security but at the time it did not appear to have any positive affect. I happen to found out by chance that all the test emails that I had been sending have been going to Junk, any reason why that would happen and how I can stop it?

Hi Everyone, I am trying to create a new email group in AD in the Distribution Lists, I have given the group a name and email address, Group scope is Global, type is Security and have added the members to the group. I can see in Office 365 Admin that the group has been created and the members are there, I tried sending an email to the group but now one receives the email. Thanks for any insight.

Hi Everyone! Not sure how this happened but one of our staff members at our school is unable to open most of her files on her laptop. All the file icons are faded and have a grey cross over the file icon. When shes logs into any of the local computers all the files are accessible. The laptop OS is Windows 7 Professional. It is connect to the schools network, she is able to open other documents on other network location, just not in her profile. Thanks for any insight.
