About Tillthewheelsfalloff

  1. Visual Studio 2019 saves by default to User\source\repos In my company we have mandatory profiles so when it saves by default to that location, the user ends up loosing it as the local profile is deleted every 24 hours. They can change it manually but is there anyway to change it domain wide?
  2. SCCM preferably but we do use Group Policy We had some people come in to create us an image without a lot of the bloatware. However, we have since learned that Microsoft will stop supporting the other version of OneNote and want to move onto the OneNote App.
  3. I work at a school and we're having issues installing OneNote app onto our machines. Is there a way to do a full install across multiple machines via the network, or do we need to do it one by one via the Microsoft Store?
  4. I do, however I've just got it to work. I did what Free780 said and got a link from Edge, thinking that it's not the browser that's the issue but I tried it anyway and within the exported XML file the URL link converts to: It currently just shows up as 'new tile' rather than a name of the website but I can deal with that for a moment. Thank you all!!
  5. Nope, the links still don't work. And to Free780, it's not so much the browser, it's that the links don't show up at all, or in some cases cause the start menu to go back to the default.
  6. Thank you but sadly that seemed to break the Start Menu customization completely.
  7. Hi. We're using Windows 10 1803 Education We're attempting to customize the Start Menu Tiles, done via import-startlayout. However, any links aren't copying across correctly. The Google link isn't showing up at all. Is there any other way to do this? Thank you.
  8. Sadly not, we had some people in who set up the image for us but they haven't left very good documentation and we've struggled to get back in contact with them. It looks as though it was built into the original image. How would I go about creating the double click Autohotkey app if I can't get this fixed?
  9. How would I check if its blocked via Applocker/SRP? I've not dealt with that in the past. Thank you!
  10. No, it doesn't. How would I change this? Although, we are a school so we want Cortana disabled, can we do this and still have the Start Menu working okay?
  11. Hi! We're having an issue with the Start Menu where upon first opening it's completely grayed out, the users can't click on anything. However, if you close the Start Menu and re-open it, it works OK. We have Windows 10 1803 machines, on a domain. The main start menu is done via redirect and the tiles are set from an XML file on GPO. I've tried changing some of the GPO's on that section but nothing seems to have worked and I don't want to play around too much as I'm still fairly new to Group Policy. Has anybody had this or a similar issue before? Thank you, Alex
