Hi I know what you mean, but the end user does not get that when they logon to the Remote Desktop Web Services.

The user logs into the website and clicks on a pre made RDP icon, which connects them to the server using SSL. You can add extra commands so when the server generates the file it adds them. I suppose I could save a normal RDP file and see what the commands are for printers?!

Hi I have a 2012 RD Gateway which connects to a 2008 R2 RDS. I have printer redirect allowed, so the idea being that a teacher can connect to the RDS from home and print out at home; but its not working. I have installed the printer driver on the server in case it was that. Does anyone know why a normal domain user doesn't have a redirected printer when they login from home? Thanks

I have done it on my HyperV Host and it works as expected, although it sets it through the host rather than the client. I will order the Intel ones and hopefully it should be ok

Hi I am looking to implement 13 PCs that will dual boot to different existing VLANs. At the moment they are on the "Guest VLAN" which is separate from our network entirely, but we would like the option to use these on our school network as well. I have looked at the on-board NICs and even though they "say" they support VLAN Tagging, I cannot get it to work; regardless of what drivers I use. I was thinking about buying some Intel Desktop CTs to put in them, but as £20 each it will be expensive. Before I buy them, does anyone have any experience with VLAN Tagging and Dual Booting? The switch they are plugged into (has recently been changed) and is now a HP Procurve 2530 24G PoE Switch. Thanks

Add another NIC into your PC (and any other PCs). Change your main NIC to have a 192.168.x.x address with a gateway of 192.168.0.1 (BT Router). Connect them all with a mini-switch. Then on the second NIC, put your 10.x.x.x IP address with NO gateway. Add a persistent static route for the 10.x.x.x.x range to go through the 10.x.x.x.YOUR_PC_IP. Add the 10.x.x.x.x entries to your local HOSTS file

Hi The head recently upgraded his Maxbook pro to Yosemite and when he tries and prints to his OKI C310 it reports that the filter failed. Not 100% on Mac support, I was wondering if anyone else had this issue? I have tried other open source print drivers and also running the Xerox patches for Mac, but it still fails. Has anyone got any other ideas? I have contacted OKI in October and again today as they ignored my first email. Thanks

Hi We use the Achievement points for rewarding pupils, but we want someway of automating the display of these reward points to pupil, and I was wondering what other people did for displaying these? Is there not a piece of software that a pupil can use, either using SSO or logging on separately to show their balance / ideally showing how they gained these points - what they did and which teacher gave them their points. Similar to running a bank account? Thanks

They use mainly Online content or a local Video file, when I investigated the problem I was playing a video clip.

Hi I have 1 user here who is getting a wobble type thing when playing a video / dvd from their laptop. It is similar to interference on a old style TV if you have the sound up very very high. The setup is 1 laptop at 1 side of the classroom and a projector on another, projecting to a wall mounted whiteboard with wall mounted speakers. The teacher received a new Dell laptop after the summer and he has said he has not noticed it before. You can see the interference on the laptop as well, so it is not projector related and he is using it in a extended desktop environment with the extended desktop (the screen where he plays the videos on) running at 1024x768. Has anyone else experienced this issue? Thanks

Hi I am looking to setup O365 for the Advantage scheme for the pupils. We don't plan, at this present time, to migrate our mailboxes to the cloud or co-exist them. I am just looking to sync the AD passwords with O365 for the pupils. I had it working previously on a test server but I am unable to get it to work on my live server. Has anyone got any guides on how to set it up to sync certain users passwords only and not to touch their mailboxes. Many thanks
