  1. Thanks everyone! Game bar had been left enabled, so they could go through that. All sorted
  2. Hi all We have an issue at our school with Impero where when broadcasting, the pupils seem to manage to minimise it. We haven't been able to capture how they've managed to do this. I did consider Windows + D, as well as ALT + Tab, but that doesn't affect it. I'm just wondering if anyone has experienced this and if they managed to catch how this is being done? These are on Windows devices. Thanks
  3. Hi all We currently have a remote desktop server that we want to switch off. The only challenge I have is that Maths use ActivInspire and staff have Chromebooks for home use. Are there any online versions that we can use to open these files? There used to be ClassFlow but that's been discontinued. Or alternatively, is there anything out there that will easily convert these into PowerPoint? Thank you!
  4. Hi all We deploy Windows 10 via SCCM. As part of the Task Sequence, we install Office 2019. I've taken the same task sequence and changed the ISO to Windows 11 Education. Everything works as it should, apart from installing Office 2019. It fails with error code 0x80004005 I've had a look at the logs on the client machine after the build finishes but there's no additional info, it just gives the error code that I saw during the build. Has anyone else had this? Thank you!
  5. Oops, sorry I did mean ActivPanel. I've updated my original post That's great, thanks for your help. I'll take a look
  6. Hi all I have an issue in a school where we have the following setup: HP Elitedesk 800 G5 SFF desktop PC Connects to a monitor on the desk, and then a second display to a Promethean ActivPanel via HDMI After a period of inactivity, a screensaver will activate on the PC. On the Promethean board itself, there are occasions where when this happens it will detect an input on the HDMI source, but is unable to show anything. The "fix" for this is to switch the board off through the mains, and then switch back on again. This can work immediately on some occasions, but on others it can take 3 or 4 attempts. I can confirm the display drivers on the machine are up to date. The issue has occurred in multiple classrooms. We do have some Optiplex's which we've switched out with the HP and can confirm the problem isn't there for them, but I just wanted to check if anyone else has had the same / similar issues? Thanks!
  7. Thanks both. I did wipe the iPads and enrol using Configurator, which enrols to ASM and subsequently. I did a bit more digging around after Cazab's comment about the 30 days grace, and that is the case for both ASM and JAMF (amongst the rest of the MDMs). Cheers again
  8. Hello I have recently started a post where I have inherited some unmanaged iPads. They weren't originally purchased via DEP. We do have an existing JAMF subscription and Apple School Manager, which are both linked. I've also setup a basic Automated Device Enrolment profile on JAMF. I have a Mac with Apple Configurator on it. I have set up the organisation & server, and have done the following: 1) Prepared the iPad on Configurator, enrolling into Apple School Manager during this 2) Logged into Apple School Manager, where I can then see the device has been enrolled 3) Edited the MDM Server and assigned to JAMF School 4) On JAMF, changed the device name and went to Automated Device Enrolment, where I could see the iPad listed. I've ticked it and assigned the Automated Device Enrolment Profile In terms of our profile for restrictions etc, I've set up so users can't Erase All Content & Settings. However, even following the process above, there is nothing stopping the user from going into Settings --> General --> VPN & Device Management, then tapping the JAMF MDM Profile and tapping Leave Remote Management. When they do this, it erases all contents and settings and then they can go through the setup without it being picked up as supervised (i.e. they could set up as their own.) Can anybody help as I've tried a lot of different ways to prevent this and am struggling. Thanks
  9. Good morning Just to do add to this, I am the current ICT Technician at Stretford Grammar School. My plan was always to go into Primary School Teacher Training after achieving my degree. This is the only reason why I am leaving Stretford Grammar. I have had two fantastic years here and I truly believe that the person who is successful in applying for this role will have some amazing opportunities and support. It is a school that is always prepared to take the chance on somebody who wants to make their own mark for the good of the school, therefore having the opportunity to gain essential experience. I can honestly say that every member of SLT are approachable and will support you in any way possible. The pupils here are also great, in fact you will see in the latest Ofsted Report (2015) that the school has been rated outstanding for pupil behaviour. Finally, should you have any outside interests that you could bring to the school, such as sport or another passion, the school thrives on extra curricular activities so you would have the opportunity to get involved with a club, which again is a fantastic and rewarding experience. So if you're looking for a new opportunity, I would urge you to apply for this role within a superb school. All the best and good luck! Paul
