Hi Folks,
I know there is a similar thread already on this but I wanted to improve my chances of someone else looking.
So, as the title suggest, I'm having difficulties with Enterprise 1809 and greyed out start menu....
I have to effectively triple click start button to get it going properly.
(after triple click i.e first greyed out, second minimizes, third all working OK for rest of session........ until next time I log in)
I know its blocking Cortana with applocker that causes it ... but I cant get rid of it from the all app list without it.
(I've stopped cortana by the GPO (search) method , which effectively turns "Cortana" into "Windows Search", but it still appears in the all apps list)
I went down the path of simulating start-button clicks, before I stumbled across the thread on here, but as the respondees on that thread, its a bit hit and miss.
(But it was nice to find I wasn't on my own!)
Anyway, are there any suggestions?
Do I just tell the teachers/office , "thats the way it is".... (after all its just a triple click on once on each session?)
I'm probably not going to allows students to see the 'all app list' anyway. So they wouldn't have this "issue"
(I give them a series of well known app shortcuts for them on their Read-Only desktop)
Is there a magic registry setting or another "special" start menu file location to hide?
Thanks
