  1. Read the thread in the Security forum which is 3 years old now. Time has moved on and so ha technology. Any schools out there that have already rolled out this and if so how is it going? Any pitfalls (aside from the pushback form parents in relation to consent of course)? On the back of the change of catering supplier for our kitchen we have just made the decision to ditch Civica (poor support) and start afresh with Cunninghams. The facial recognition does appeal to the HT as the main issue we have the speed of service using the biometrics currently so we are going for it.
  2. Anyone have any experience of the Meraki MT15 in real student toilet scenarios? We have a lot of Meraki kit in school (cameras,WAP's etc.) so meraki is our preferred route for this. We are contemplating 1 sensor per cubicle block and not one per cubicle.
  3. Do any schools have the new Meraki MT-15 Sensors installed specifically to detect vaping? And if so how do they perform in the real world? Any feedback appreciated.
  4. Yes getting quite tedious now, still getting emails after the deadline, don't want to set up 1-1 meetings want to be fact finding and wandering around having a look at everything at m y pace. Not got oodles of time to spare while there as it is!
  5. But has now stopped working! Copy and past the URL into a browser tab works however.
  6. Yeah had this reported to us today by a staff member and can confirm that altering the YouTube URL changing the ?v= to a / does work.
  7. Actually had a sales call from Senso this morning! Have to say the comments here have tempered the expectations. Currently use Lan School in the IT Suites just for classroom management. Hoping to replace with a more encompassing product that is reliable. I have heard good things about the NetSupport offerings, and we do use the Notify application which is doing a job (although had major issues with it over the past year which were down to two problems, one now resolved and one not going to be looked at by all accounts)
  8. Another +1 for the BenQ boards, only a few classrooms left to convert now.
  9. Just started using this and have added all the exceptions above but still getting connection lost to code academy errors. All entered into our whitelisted URLS group which is included in the Do Not Inspect policy, any more ideas? edit - found another link with some further URL's not on list above, seems to be working now touch wood! https://help.codecademy.com/hc/en-us/articles/220441848-Connection-Lost-in-Codecademy-s-Learning-Environment
  10. Thanks for the replies. We are actually using teams already in anger due to the amount of self isolating students across all classes. So a separate teams group just for that student and the tutors wouldn't work as each teacher would already have a teams lesson going on for the rest of the class in each of the lessons.
  11. Thread resurrection! Did anyone make any progress on this way back then? Anything fill the void in the meantime? Now in the same position with 1 visually impaired student (and its the only ipad in school) tia.
  12. Anyone else out there using Loom for staff to capture and record? We are starting to use it with our partial reopening from today but bombarded with various issues with it today! Just wondering what other experiences of it are out there....
  13. Not a big fan of eight legged creatures so might have to hide behind the sofa next week, lol
  14. I have actually forgot it was on the last two weeks at that time on a Sunday (luckily Sky+ saved the day). I don't know - maybe its gone too much the other way with Chibnall wanting a full reset and no "older" monsters back for this series. Or maybe it's me just wishing for them back, lol. Always nice when a new doctor comes up against the Daleks or Cybermen for the first time
  15. Liking the new doc, and warming to the new companions (even Bradley!) Can't fault the production and effects side of things. The stories/writing have yet to grab me though. Just something missing so far.
  16. Sure was. Not ideal for everyone granted. The Pringle offer was in Tesco when it was running - 2 tubes of offer marked tubes ( £1 per tube) = Now TV Pass of your choosing. So a massive saving on Sky. No doubt with the price Comcast are paying prices are only going to up further.
  17. Refuse to pay sky's extortionate fees. This year I have tried cherry picking the non live races and utilising some free NOW TV passes we acquired during recent promotions such as the Pringles one or the McD's Monopoly. Not sure I'll be able to find 20 free passes for next year!
