  1. I would be interested in having them.
  2. Just kind of sad, don't need support, I volunteer that. I know the equipment. The firmware or IP if you want to call it that is only good to people with old hardware anyway. I understand that they want to sell new equipment and the profit margin needed, but I would think these companies when provided legitimate proof that they are trying to be used in low or no budget non-for-profit organizations could just make the firmware/licenses available. Still very useful hardware for the needs of small NP's and saves the landfill. Just seems to me at least on a per case basis, the right thing to do. Fortinet refuses though, I have pleaded.
  3. I am in sorta the same boat with a MC1500, seems like Fortinet really abandoned all Meru Legacy equipment when they acquired them. Meru was awesome with support before and didn't lock down firmware to old equipment. I am trying to bring up donated hardware for a small private grade school, and Fortinet just want's to sell me new equipment, I understand that with businesses, but this school obviously can't afford (hence the donated hardware). So if you happen to run into anyone that is willing go give you some assistance let me know. The company I work for actually upgraded from MC1000 to MC1500, I will look around to see if we have anything still lying around. Any former Meru employees out there that have access to license generators or firmware ???? Hate to just throw good (still very usable kit into the recycling bin) when good causes with not much of a budget could use it. It would go a long way yet!
  4. Are there any former Merunetworks empoyees out there?
  5. Have a MC1500 that was running 6.1-2-29 get corrupted. Does anyone have access to a recovery image. I have the firmware but not the specific recovery image. Any help would be appreciated, Fortinet won't help because it is so old.
